The Metis cultural history network aims to highlight the collaboration between three European cultural history centres based respectively in France, Italy and Switzerland. These three institutional partners are the Centre d\u2019histoire culturelle des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s contemporaines (Laboratoire de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines)<\/a>, the\u00a0Centro Interuniversitario di Storia Culturale de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Padoue<\/a> and the\u00a0Centre des sciences historiques de la culture (SHC) de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne<\/a>. These interdisciplinary centres of competence offer teaching and research projects that are part of cultural history. While each centre has its own perspectives, three axes link the activities and research fields of the metis network.<\/p>\n

Thus the network aims to promote reflection on the circulation of knowledge, cultural transfers, exchanges and networks in a transnational perspective – on the European space on the one hand; on the Atlantic space (Europe-Americas) on the other hand. It also gives priority to the study and analysis of spectacular devices from an intermediary perspective, whether it is to favour certain objects such as exhibitions or a field such as audiovisual techniques; one of the common axes of the network is also to be found in the history of the theatre in its textual, scenic and media dimensions. Finally, a widely shared interest is constituted by a set of research activities on the exchanges and interrelationships between the language and visual arts: illustrated publishing, landscape theory and history, and comics.<\/p>\n

Through the selection of activities, publications and projects carried out by the network, metis’ long-term ambition is to be a showcase for research in cultural history in Europe.<\/p>\n

Le r\u00e9seau d\u2019histoire culturelle metis a la vocation de mettre en relief la collaboration entre trois centres d\u2019histoire culturelle europ\u00e9ens bas\u00e9s respectivement en France, en Italie et en Suisse. Ces trois partenaires institutionnels sont le\u00a0Centre d\u2019histoire culturelle des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s contemporaines (Laboratoire de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines)<\/a>, le\u00a0Centro Interuniversitario di Storia Culturale de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Padoue<\/a>\u00a0et le\u00a0Centre des sciences historiques de la culture (SHC) de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne<\/a>.\u00a0Ces p\u00f4les de comp\u00e9tences interdisciplinaires proposent des enseignements et des projets de recherches qui rel\u00e8vent de l\u2019histoire culturelle. Si chaque centre d\u00e9ploie ses propres perspectives, trois axes lient les activit\u00e9s et les champs de recherche du r\u00e9seau metis.<\/p>\n

Ainsi le r\u00e9seau entend promouvoir la r\u00e9flexion sur la circulation des savoirs, les transferts culturels, les \u00e9changes et les r\u00e9seaux dans une perspective transnationale \u2013 sur l\u2019espace europ\u00e9en d\u2019une part\u00a0; sur l\u2019espace atlantique (Europe-Am\u00e9riques) d\u2019autre part. Il privil\u00e9gie par ailleurs l\u2019\u00e9tude et l\u2019analyse des dispositifs spectaculaires dans une perspective interm\u00e9diale, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse de privil\u00e9gier certains objets comme les expositions ou un domaine comme celui des techniques audiovisuelles\u00a0; l\u2019un des axes communs du r\u00e9seau est \u00e9galement \u00e0 trouver dans l\u2019histoire du th\u00e9\u00e2tre dans ses dimensions textuelles, sc\u00e9niques comme m\u00e9diatiques. Enfin, un int\u00e9r\u00eat largement partag\u00e9 est constitu\u00e9 par un ensemble d’activit\u00e9s de recherche portant sur les \u00e9changes et les interrelations entre les arts langagiers et visuels\u00a0: \u00e9dition illustr\u00e9e, th\u00e9orie et histoire du paysage ainsi que bande dessin\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

A travers la s\u00e9lection des activit\u00e9s, des publications et des projets men\u00e9s par le r\u00e9seau, l\u2019ambition \u00e0 long terme de metis est d\u2019\u00eatre une vitrine pour la recherche en histoire culturelle en Europe.<\/p>\n

La rete di storia culturale di Metis mira a mettere in evidenza la collaborazione tra tre centri europei di storia culturale con sede rispettivamente in Francia, Italia e Svizzera. Questi tre partner istituzionali sono il Centre d\u2019histoire culturelle des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s contemporaines (Laboratoire de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines<\/a>, il Centro Interuniversitario di Storia Culturale <\/a>(Universit\u00e0 di Bologna, Padova, Pisa, Venezia, Verona, Salerno) e il Centre des sciences historiques de la culture (SHC) de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne<\/a>. Questi centri di competenza interdisciplinari offrono progetti di insegnamento e di ricerca che fanno parte della storia della cultura. Mentre ogni centro ha le proprie prospettive, tre assi collegano le attivit\u00e0 e i campi di ricerca della rete metis.<\/p>\n

La rete mira quindi a promuovere la riflessione sulla circolazione della conoscenza, i trasferimenti culturali, gli scambi e le reti in una prospettiva transnazionale: da un lato, lo spazio europeo, dall\u2019altro lo spazio atlantico (Europa-America). D\u00e0 inoltre priorit\u00e0 allo studio e all\u2019analisi di dispositivi spettacolari da una prospettiva intermedia, che si tratti di privilegiare alcuni oggetti come le mostre o un settore come le tecniche audiovisive; uno degli assi comuni della rete si ritrova anche nella storia del teatro nelle sue dimensioni testuale, scenica e mediatica. Infine, un interesse ampiamente condiviso \u00e8 costituito da un insieme di attivit\u00e0 di ricerca sugli scambi e le interrelazioni tra il linguaggio e le arti visive: editoria illustrata, teoria e storia del paesaggio e fumetto.<\/p>\n
