{"id":179,"date":"2024-07-03T21:35:10","date_gmt":"2024-07-03T19:35:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/metabolomics\/?page_id=179"},"modified":"2025-06-06T12:00:24","modified_gmt":"2025-06-06T10:00:24","slug":"research","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/metabolomics\/research\/","title":{"rendered":"Research"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We have our own research and development goals:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To develop &amp; implement&nbsp;<strong>new analytical solutions<\/strong>&nbsp;for deep structural characterization and high-throughput quantification of polar and lipid metabolites:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Deep annotation of model organism metabolome<\/strong>, along with lipidome with a focus on microbiome-derived metabolites implicated in host-microbiome interaction(s)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>High-coverage targeted or deep targeted analysis <\/strong>for the straightforward, highly sensitive and specific measurement of a wide range of known polar and lipid metabolites involved in energy metabolism and metabolic signaling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To define the framework of human metabolism by&nbsp;applying the validated leading-edge methodologies to&nbsp;<strong>metabolic phenotyping of human population<\/strong>(s), and&nbsp;<strong>clinical intervention studies<\/strong>&nbsp;to enhance the understanding of metabolic alterations with reproductive ageing (e.g., sex differences driven by hormonal transitions).
