Join an engaging small\u2011group conversation with a professional recruiter from the private sector! This year, we are introducing a brand\u2011new format: interactive 20\u2011minute sessions in groups of six, led by Bruno Peterer (oprandi & partner<\/a>) in collaboration with Talendo.
These sessions offer a rare opportunity to ask your questions directly to an experienced recruiter: What do recruiters expect from a CV? Which junior profiles are most sought after? How does recruitment really work behind the scenes? What can help you stand out from other candidates?<\/strong>
Designed to provide practical, first\u2011hand insights, this activity is ideal for those preparing for their next career step outside academia.

Leaving academia for your first job is exciting \u2014 but it often comes with doubts and mixed feelings. This fast\u2011paced, interactive 25\u2011minute workshop, designed and created by the Life Science Career Day<\/a><\/strong>, helps early\u2011career life scientists explore and normalize common fears around networking, applications, interviews, and rejection. Through a playful quiz and small\u2011group conversations led by experienced career advisors and vocational psychologists from UNIL and UNIGE, you will gain practical tips, sharper perspectives, and confidence for your next steps. A quick, honest, and energizing starting point for anyone preparing to launch their career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop runs throughout the afternoon with three distinct 25-minute sessions scheduled at <\/em>13.00 |<\/em><\/em> 13.30<\/em><\/strong> |<\/strong><\/em> <\/strong>15.30<\/strong> |<\/strong> 16.00<\/strong> |<\/strong> 16.30<\/strong>, designed for 150 participants in total.<\/em> It is ideal for anyone seeking clarity on the key steps involved in transitioning to a first job\u2014without delving into overly personal concerns.<\/em>

The traditional CV check given by the university services is not offered during the LSCD, as you have access to this service all year round on campus.
