Welcome to the Website of the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Research Laboratory of the CHUV – University Hospital of Lausanne (Switzerland). As our name says, we investigate both disorders of blood and cancer affecting children, with a particular focus on hemoglobin & red cell disorders (PI Renella) and neuroblastoma (PI M\u00fchlethaler-Mottet).<\/p>\n

Our laboratory is based in the Cit\u00e9 Hospitali\u00e8re of the University Hospital in Lausanne<\/a><\/strong>, close to the site of the Swiss Cancer Center – Lausanne<\/a><\/strong>, of which we are\u00a0a member.<\/p>\n

We collaborate with local, national and international colleagues, and are part of international consortia for the investigation and treatment of the diseases we study. In particular, our lab is the National Reference Diagnostics Laboratory for the SIOPEN trials<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The lab is affiliated to the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Unit in the\u00a0Department of Pediatrics @ CHUV<\/a><\/strong> – University Hospital of Lausanne, the second largest comprehensive care center in Switzerland for\u00a0disorders of\u00a0blood and cancer in\u00a0children.<\/p>\n

If you wish to contribute to researchers’ efforts to find cures for\u00a0disorders of\u00a0blood and cancer affecting children, please donate to FORCE, the Fondation pour la Recherche sur le Cancer de l’Enfant<\/a><\/strong>. This independent charity was established in 1992 and provides competitive grants to investigators to improve the\u00a0understanding of\u00a0disease\u00a0biology and find novel therapies for childhood cancers.<\/p>\n
