The Annual Meeting of the NeuroLeman Network and Doctoral Schools (NLN’26) will take place on September 4-5, 2026 in the Swiss Alpine Center in Leysin<\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the meeting of the NeuroL\u00e9man Doctoral Schools is organized by the BMI-EPFL and Ralf Schneggenburger in particular. EPFL student committee TBA \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us for two great plenary lectures given by
– Larry Zweifel<\/a> (Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, University of Washington, U.S.A.<\/strong>): Advances in the Resolution of Cell Types and Gene Function in the Neural Circuitry of Motivation<\/em>
– Johannes Felsenberg<\/a> (Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, Basel, Switzerland<\/strong>

In addition, three NeuroLeman junior PIs will share heir science and career with you:
– Fanny Langlet (DSB-UNIL<\/strong>)
– James Priestley (EPFL<\/strong>)
– Alison Montagrin (UNIGE<\/strong>): Mapping Goals: How the Hippocampus Shapes Temporal Memory<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the NeuroLeman PhD candidates, the annual meeting is a great opportunity to discuss your thesis project with others, get to know your peers from other labs at EPFL, UNIGE, UNIL and beyond.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

REGISTRATION<\/a> <\/strong>is free for LNDS, EDNE, NEURO-X and EDBB PhD candidates. Please sign up before June 30<\/strong>, and submit your abstract for a poster or even short talk (Abstract submission is mandatory for LNDS candidates beyond their first year!).

Credit validation<\/strong><\/a> for LNDS & EDNE doctoral candidates: <\/strong>Attending the retreat earns 1 ECTS credit under the condition that doctoral candidates must (1) be first authors on a poster\/presentation (2) and write a one-page document summarizing what they newly learned from the discussions and poster presentations of other participants. The document should be sent to the respective school coordinator (EDNE OR LNDS). In total, up to 2 such ECTS credits can be earned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
