This project started on 1 March 2020 with the PI <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/lalp\/anita-auer\/\">Anita Auer<\/a>, the PhD student <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/lalp\/mark-iten\/\">Mark Iten<\/a> and the student assistants Lucile Berset, Andrea Gr\u00fctter and Aleksa Kostadinovic. The senior researcher <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/lalp\/anne-christine-gardner\/\">Anne-Christine Gardner<\/a> will join the team on 1 September 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are currently working through the pauper petitions at our disposal, i.e. we are (re)transcribing petitions from facsimiles, comparing and checking our transcriptions, and we are in the process of converting a number of petitions into plain text version. As soon as COVID-19 is over, we will visit a number of archives in the UK to collect more facsimiles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will keep you posted on our progress regarding the corpus creation and our research on this website.
