Research Interests\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I joined the LAKES team as Research Assistant (PAT) for the QUAGGA-MUFFIN<\/a> project. The program aims to investigate the trophic interactions between Quagga mussel populations and zooplankton communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My research interests focus on\u00a0the\u00a0functioning of\u00a0aquatic\u00a0ecosystems\u00a0and their responses to stressors such as invasive species, climate\u00a0change\u00a0and human\u00a0activities.\u00a0As a\u00a0marine biologist\u00a0(PhD)\u00a0and scientific diver, I\u00a0have\u00a0worked on coastal habitats connectivity,\u00a0biodiversity patterns and\u00a0foodwebs. My diverse\u00a0background\u00a0has\u00a0led me to work\u00a0in\u00a0academic\u00a0research, conservation at both local and international levels, and\u00a0as\u00a0scientific\u00a0expert\u00a0to advise\u00a0stakeholders\u00a0on\u00a0aquatic\u00a0habitats\u00a0conservation.\u00a0To study ecosystem\u00a0functioning\u00a0I use various approaches\u00a0combining fieldwork campaigns\u00a0(e.g.\u00a0diving survey), experimental set-ups, isotopes analysis,\u00a0taxonomic\u00a0identification, biochemical\u00a0assays,\u00a0and modelling.\u00a0In addition, I attach\u00a0great importance\u00a0to\u00a0interdisciplinary projects, student\u00a0training\u00a0and\u00a0scientific popularization.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
