With a broad background in environmental sciences and a PhD in aquatic physics, I am particularly interested in the role of physical processes (hydrodynamics, turbulence, heat exchange) in the transport and fate of dissolved, particulate, and living constituents, within the context of human disturbances (climate change, contamination, overtourism). My current research focuses, among other aspects, on the impacts of recreational activities on mountain lakes, hydrodynamics of glacial lakes, near-surface turbulent processes in Lake Geneva and inter-basin exchange processes in Lake Zug. Additionally, I aim at developing science communication initiatives with the public to promote a deeper understanding of our freshwater ecosystems and raise awareness about their importance in our society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Biography<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2024 \u2013 Present:&nbsp;<\/strong>Junior Lecturer in the LAKES group of the Institute of Earth Surface Dynamics, University of Lausanne, Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2022 \u2013 2024:&nbsp;<\/strong>Postdoctoral Researcher in the groups of Aquatic Physics and Applied System Analysis at EAWAG (Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology), Kastanienbaum, Switzerland.
