Les protagonistes d\u2019<em>\u00c6gyptiacque<\/em> (1891), de <em>Luisita<\/em> (1903)\u00a0et des <em>Circonstances de la vie<\/em> (1906) empruntent nombre de\u00a0leurs traits \u00e0 des figures mythiques fortement connot\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tude conjointe de ces romans r\u00e9v\u00e8le combien leurs auteurs \u2013 William Ritter, \u00c9douard Rod et Charles Ferdinand Ramuz \u2013 participent \u00e0 la mise en place et au renforcement d\u2019un imaginaire collectif typique d\u2019une \u00e9poque travers\u00e9e par de profonds bouleversements socioculturels. Cristallisant les angoisses suscit\u00e9es par l\u2019intensification de l\u2019immigration autant que par l\u2019essor du f\u00e9minisme, les h\u00e9ro\u00efnes des trois r\u00e9cits analys\u00e9s dans le pr\u00e9sent essai d&rsquo;Oc\u00e9ane Guillemin (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/clsr\/fr\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Centre des litt\u00e9ratures en Suisse romande<\/a>) ajoutent \u00e0 la menace de l\u2019alt\u00e9rit\u00e9 \u00e9trang\u00e8re celle d\u2019une f\u00e9minit\u00e9 incontr\u00f4l\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Qu\u2019elles tiennent d\u2019H\u00e9l\u00e8ne, enlev\u00e9e par P\u00e2ris et funeste \u00e0 son insu, ou de Lilith, d\u00e9moniaque \u00ab\u00a0\u00c8ve avant \u00c8ve\u00a0\u00bb nuisible \u00e0 dessein, ces personnages doublement \u00ab\u00a0autres\u00a0\u00bb s\u2019inscrivent obstin\u00e9ment dans la lign\u00e9e des femmes fatales en rupture de ban.<\/p>\n<p>Oc\u00e9ane Guillemin, <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/archipelessais\/volume-25\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>D\u2019H\u00e9l\u00e8ne \u00e0 Lilith.
