Plong\u00e9e au c\u0153ur des bains thermaux d’\u00c9r\u00e9trie.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Longtemps n\u00e9glig\u00e9e, l\u2019\u00c9r\u00e9trie d\u2019\u00e9poque imp\u00e9riale se r\u00e9v\u00e8le depuis peu gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte de plusieurs \u00e9difices publics et quartiers commerciaux. Le d\u00e9gagement des thermes du centre permet notamment de s\u2019interroger sur la romanisation de l\u2019agglom\u00e9ration et des modes de vie des habitant\u00b7e\u00b7s aux premiers si\u00e8cles de notre \u00e8re. Cet ouvrage pr\u00e9sente ainsi les r\u00e9sultats de fouilles men\u00e9es par l\u2019\u00c9cole suisse d\u2019arch\u00e9ologie en Gr\u00e8ce entre 2009 et 2014.<\/p>\n

Construit peu apr\u00e8s le milieu du IIe<\/sup> si\u00e8cle apr\u00e8s J.-C., ce modeste \u00e9tablissement thermal respecte le plan traditionnel des bains \u00ab\u00e0 la romaine\u00bb. Mais l\u2019\u00e9difice baln\u00e9aire est abandonn\u00e9 peu apr\u00e8s le milieu du IIIe<\/sup> si\u00e8cle, p\u00e9riode o\u00f9 la Gr\u00e8ce conna\u00eet des troubles g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9s. Apr\u00e8s une pr\u00e9sentation de l’histoire du quartier, des fours \u00e0 chaux et des thermes d’\u00c9r\u00e9trie, ainsi qu’une analyse de leur mobilier, leur faune et leur flore, cette \u00e9tude se conclut sur deux chapitres de synth\u00e8se sur la p\u00e9riode imp\u00e9riale de cette cit\u00e9, et sur l\u2019\u00e9volution des usages du bain en Gr\u00e8ce.<\/p>\n

Ce num\u00e9ro d’Eretria<\/em> cosign\u00e9 par Marc Duret, Simone Zurbriggen, Guy Ackermann et Thierry Theurillat (tous deux de l’\u00c9cole suisse d’arch\u00e9ologie en Gr\u00e8ce<\/a> et de l’Institut d’arch\u00e9ologie et des sciences de l’antiquit\u00e9<\/a>) apporte, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’\u00e9tude de vestiges thermaux et du mobilier qui leur est associ\u00e9, un nouvel \u00e9clairage sur une p\u00e9riode jusqu’alors m\u00e9connue d’\u00c9r\u00e9trie.<\/p>\n
