Femmes \u00e9crivaines et cosmopolitisme des Lumi\u00e8res.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Les essais qui composent ce volume explorent une diversit\u00e9 de positions cosmopolites au cours du XVIIIe et au d\u00e9but du XIXe si\u00e8cle, avec un focus particulier sur le genre et le processus par lequel le cosmopolitisme devient critique de lui-m\u00eame. Car en cela, celui-ci se distingue des courants internationalistes, transnationaux et multiculturels.<\/p>\n

Les travaux et auteures discut\u00e9es dans ce num\u00e9ro sp\u00e9cial de la revue Women’s Writing <\/em>forment un riche \u00e9chantillon, allant de Germaine de Sta\u00ebl \u00e0 Mary Robinson, en passant par Louise d\u2019\u00c9pinay, Charlotte Smith et Sophie von la Roche. Les contributions approfondissent la recherche sur les activit\u00e9s des femmes \u00e9crivaines, en particulier les liens entre leurs efforts cosmopolites et le discours racial durant l’expansion coloniale du XVIIIe et du XIXe si\u00e8cles.<\/p>\n

\u00c9dit\u00e9 par Enit Karafili Steiner (Section d’anglais<\/a>), ce volume, qui a notamment permis des \u00e9changes entre la Section d’allemand et la Section d’anglais de l’Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne, contribue \u00e0 enrichir notre compr\u00e9hension du cosmopolitisme occidental.<\/p>\n
