Partant de ce constat, le pr\u00e9sent volume s&rsquo;interroge sur les mani\u00e8res dont celui-ci a pu se montrer, au XXe si\u00e8cle, sur la place publique.<\/p>\n<p>Car les artistes ont donn\u00e9 \u00e0 la figure du Christ des \u00e9tats d&rsquo;\u00e2me; ils et elles ont plant\u00e9 avec r\u00e9alisme le d\u00e9cor historique de sa vie; reconsid\u00e9r\u00e9 son message pour y lire des ambigu\u00eft\u00e9s ou, au contraire, une \u00ab v\u00e9rit\u00e9 \u00bb enfouie sous les si\u00e8cles. On l&rsquo;a ainsi \u00ab\u00a0incarn\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb de multiples mani\u00e8res qui sont autant de chemins vers son devenir-profane.<\/p>\n<p>Ce num\u00e9ro interdisciplinaire dirig\u00e9 par\u00a0Alain Boillat (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/cin\/home.html\">Section d&rsquo;histoire et esth\u00e9tique du cin\u00e9ma<\/a>), Jean Kaempfer\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/fra\/fr\/home.html\">Section de fran\u00e7ais<\/a>), Philippe Kaenel (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/hart\/fr\/home.html\">Section d&rsquo;histoire de l&rsquo;art<\/a>), et\u00a0Pierre Gisel (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/ihar\/fr\/home.html\">Institut d&rsquo;histoire et anthropologie des religions<\/a>), d\u00e9crypte les repr\u00e9sentations et les usages fictionnels de J\u00e9sus \u00e0 la fin du XXe si\u00e8cle.
