<\/p>\n

Inspir\u00e9 par les r\u00e9cents travaux d’ \u00ab\u00a0histoire connect\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb, cet ouvrage se penche sur des rencontres interculturelles et des trajectoires intellectuelles entre Asie et Europe aux XIXe et XXe si\u00e8cles. Il examine les discours, les croyances et les pratiques religieuses d’individus en interaction avec les deux continents: migrant\u00b7e\u00b7s, expatri\u00e9\u00b7e\u00b7s, ou encore chef\u00b7fe\u00b7s religieux\u00b7ses. En multipliant ainsi les points de vue, il reconstruit des r\u00e9cits \u00ab\u00a0translocaux\u00a0\u00bb sur la production et la propagation de doctrines religieuses.<\/p>\n

Le pr\u00e9sent volume met en exergue l’importance des voyages et des communications pour la diffusion de contenus religieux au-del\u00e0 des fronti\u00e8res nationales, culturelles et institutionnelles. Il analyse \u00e9galement l’impact de certains individus – charismatiques ou non, bien \u00e9tablis ou subalternes – dans la reconfiguration des formes institutionnelles de la religion et souligne le r\u00f4le central du r\u00e9f\u00e9rent sud-asiatique dans la l\u00e9gitimation de points de vue religieux sp\u00e9cifiques.<\/p>\n

Les \u00e9tudes rassembl\u00e9es ici par Philippe Bornet (Section de langues et civilisations slaves et de l’Asie du Sud<\/a>) proposent \u00e0 la fois un cadre m\u00e9thodologique novateur et pr\u00e9sentent des cas d’\u00e9tude originaux.
