Que signifiait \u00eatre une \u00ab\u00a0personne\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 la Renaissance ?\u00a0Cet ouvrage raconte l’histoire de la personne (personhood<\/em>) \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque de la Renaissance comme une relation mat\u00e9rielle et une exp\u00e9rience incarn\u00e9e, plut\u00f4t que selon les notions \u00e9mergentes d’individualit\u00e9 et de libert\u00e9.<\/p>\n

En r\u00e9unissant des contributions de chercheurs\u00b7euses internationaux ax\u00e9es sur les chaises, portes, machines, arbres, animaux ou sur la nourriture, le volume dirig\u00e9 par Kevin Curran (Section d’anglais<\/a>, directeur du\u00a0Lausanne Shakespeare Festival<\/a>) propose une nouvelle approche de la personne aux XVIe et XVIIe si\u00e8cles, en se penchant sur les objets, l\u2019environnement et les processus physiques qui ont rendu l’identit\u00e9 de la personne lisible.<\/p>\n
