Ce tournant se fait lentement durant l\u2019\u00e9poque des Trente Glorieuses (1945-1973), une p\u00e9riode de prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent. Les ventes de cigarettes bondissent, tout comme les hommes, les femmes s\u2019y rallient, les jeunes en sont friands ; mais parall\u00e8lement, de nouvelles \u00e9tudes scientifiques prouvent un lien \u00e9troit entre le tabagisme et le cancer du poumon, ainsi que les maladies cardiovasculaires. Les fabricants de tabac accul\u00e9s doivent trouver de nouvelles formules afin de poursuivre la commercialisation de leurs produits: publicit\u00e9s attirantes, nouveaux filtres, design innovant, rien n\u2019est laiss\u00e9 au hasard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 partir d\u2019un corpus de 253 affiches publicitaires des principaux fabricants de tabac \u0153uvrant en Suisse durant les Trente Glorieuses, l\u2019auteur retrace l\u2019histoire passionnante d\u2019une \u00e9poque qui est \u00e0 l\u2019origine d\u2019un profond bouleversement du statut de la cigarette au sein de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019ouvrage richement illustr\u00e9 de Jacques Olivier, docteur en m\u00e9decine et \u00e8s sciences (MD-PhD) de la Facult\u00e9 de biologie et de m\u00e9decine de l\u2019UNIL, est issu de son travail de master \u00e0 la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/hist\/fr\/home.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/hist\/fr\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Section d\u2019histoire<\/a>&nbsp;de la Facult\u00e9 des lettres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jacques Olivier,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alphil.com\/livres\/980-943-la-cigarette-s-affiche.html#\/1-format-livre_papier\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.alphil.com\/livres\/980-943-la-cigarette-s-affiche.html#\/1-format-livre_papier\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La cigarette s\u2019affiche.
