L\u2019id\u00e9e selon laquelle le dramaturge anglais \u00e9crirait pour le cin\u00e9ma ou la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision s\u2019il vivait \u00e0 notre \u00e9poque est aujourd\u2019hui r\u00e9pandue.<\/p>\n<p>Dans son ouvrage, Neil Forsyth, professeur honoraire de la Facult\u00e9 des lettres, \u00e0 la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/angl\/en\/home.html\">Section d&rsquo;anglais<\/a>, propose d\u2019envisager la question sous un autre angle, en se concentrant sur ce que les r\u00e9alisateurs de films pour le cin\u00e9ma ou la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision ont fait des pi\u00e8ces de Shakespeare, en particulier celles contenant des motifs surnaturels tels que fant\u00f4mes, sorci\u00e8res, f\u00e9es ou r\u00eaves. Comment les r\u00e9alisateurs ont-ils adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cran les com\u00e9dies et drames de Shakespeare qui poss\u00e8dent des ingr\u00e9dients de magie? Comment ont-ils r\u00e9solu les probl\u00e8mes d\u2019illusion engendr\u00e9s par les \u00e9l\u00e9ments surnaturels?<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019auteur passe en revue l\u2019histoire des pi\u00e8ces de th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Shakespeare qui ont inspir\u00e9 l&rsquo;\u00e9cran en analysant les liens qui se tissent entre th\u00e9\u00e2tre et films dans la fabrique de l\u2019illusion.<\/p>\n<p>Neil
