L\u2019ouvrage D\u00e9fense des droits de la femme\u00a0<\/em>(A Vindication of the Rights of Woman<\/em>), publi\u00e9 en 1792 par l\u2019\u00e9crivaine britannique Mary Wollstonecraft (1759-1797), \u2013 un prolongement de son pamphlet D\u00e9fense des droits des hommes\u00a0<\/em>(Vindication of the Rights of Men<\/em>, 1790) \u2013 est l’un des tout premiers trait\u00e9s f\u00e9ministes.<\/p>\n

L\u2019ouvrage d\u2019Enit Karafili Steiner (Section d’anglais<\/a>) met l\u2019accent sur cinq aspects du livre de Wollstonecraft : les courants f\u00e9ministes dans les ann\u00e9es 1790, Wollstonecraft \u00e0 travers sa biographie, les th\u00e9ories des Lumi\u00e8res sur le progr\u00e8s et le genre, le sublime religieux, et l\u2019esth\u00e9tique de la masculinit\u00e9.\u00a0Chaque sujet est abord\u00e9 par deux chercheurs, figure d\u2019autorit\u00e9 dans le champ et critique \u00e9mergent, dont les points de vue sont ainsi mis en dialogue.<\/p>\n

Ce volume fait partie de la collection \u00ab\u00a0Dialogue\u00a0\u00bb de la maison d\u2019\u00e9dition Rodopi\/Brill, un format novateur d\u2019engagement dialogique et interg\u00e9n\u00e9rationnel qui offre ici une approche unique de l\u2019\u0153uvre de Mary Wollstonecraft.<\/p>\n
