Quelle relation l\u2019argumentation entretient-elle avec le langage ?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cet ouvrage constitue une occasion de faire dialoguer les recherches en linguistique d\u2019une part, et les \u00e9tudes sur l\u2019argumentation d\u2019autre part. Une telle relation peut sembler aller de soi : l\u2019argumentation n\u2019est-elle pas de toute \u00e9vidence une pratique langagi\u00e8re??<\/p>\n

Toutefois, c\u2019est principalement la philosophie et plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment la rh\u00e9torique qui ont constitu\u00e9 l\u2019argumentation comme objet d\u2019\u00e9tude et il a fallu attendre les ann\u00e9es 1980 pour qu\u2019\u00e9mergent, de mani\u00e8re spectaculaire, les premi\u00e8res recherches \u00e0 proprement parler linguistiques sur l\u2019argumentation. La d\u00e9marche linguistique a depuis \u00e9volu\u00e9, notamment par son ouverture sur des questions de discours et de cognition, renouvelant ainsi progressivement la r\u00e9flexion sur les \u00ab\u00a0Mots de l\u2019argumentation\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Au travers de six \u00e9tudes, l\u2019ouvrage codirig\u00e9 par Thierry Herman (\u00c9cole de fran\u00e7ais langue \u00e9trang\u00e8re<\/a>) et J\u00e9r\u00f4me Jacquin (Section des sciences du langage et de l’information<\/a>) se veut une fen\u00eatre sur les questions actuelles qui se posent \u00e0 partir du moment o\u00f9 on cherche \u00e0 comprendre en quoi l\u2019argumentation constitue une pratique langagi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n
