Si le r\u00f4le important de son salon est d\u00e9sormais appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 \u00e0 sa juste valeur dans l\u2019historiographie, il n\u2019en va pas de m\u00eame en ce qui concerne ses activit\u00e9s dans le domaine m\u00e9dical et philanthropique.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019hospice de charit\u00e9 qu\u2019elle a fond\u00e9 \u00e0 Paris en 1778 m\u00e9rite pourtant d\u2019\u00eatre red\u00e9couvert, car il s\u2019agit d\u2019un projet exp\u00e9rimental de premier plan en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 publique et de bienfaisance. Gr\u00e2ce au livre de Madline Favre publi\u00e9 dans la collection de l&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/ibc\/fr\/home.html\">Institut Benjamin Constant<\/a>, la cr\u00e9ation et la gestion quotidienne du futur H\u00f4pital Necker apparaissent sous un nouveau jour, et notre connaissance de cet \u00e9tablissement pionnier de la fin de l\u2019Ancien R\u00e9gime s\u2019en trouve profond\u00e9ment enrichie.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ouvrage de Madline Favre (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/hist\/fr\/home.html\">Section d&rsquo;histoire<\/a>)\u00a0est issu d\u2019un M\u00e9moire de Master en Histoire moderne, soutenu \u00e0 la Facult\u00e9 des lettres de l\u2019UNIL en juillet 2017, sous la direction de L\u00e9onard Burnand (<span lang=\"FR\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/hist\/fr\/home.html\">Section d&rsquo;histoire<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Madline Favre, <a
