Les d\u00e9cisions prises par ce comit\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9es dans une s\u00e9rie de brochures intitul\u00e9es <i>Broadcast English<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Cet ouvrage retrace, pour la premi\u00e8re fois, l\u2019histoire de ce Conseil consultatif. J\u00fcrg R. Schwyter (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/angl\/en\/home.html\">Section d&rsquo;anglais<\/a>)\u00a0r\u00e9v\u00e8le comment les membres du conseil d\u2019administration, dont le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre George Bernard Shaw, Prix Nobel de litt\u00e9rature, ont rapidement d\u00e9couvert que la normalisation et la r\u00e9glementation de la langue parl\u00e9e sont extr\u00eamement difficiles et tr\u00e8s controvers\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019auteur d\u00e9crit le r\u00f4le qu\u2019a jou\u00e9 ce Comit\u00e9 dans la standardisation de l\u2019anglais parl\u00e9, explore les raisons de son \u00e9chec dans son objectif de gardien de l\u2019anglais \u00ab\u00a0correctement\u00a0\u00bb parl\u00e9 et analyse son h\u00e9ritage dans la radiodiffusion actuelle.<\/p>\n<p>Ce volume s\u2019adresse aux linguistes et plus g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement aux historiens s\u2019int\u00e9ressant \u00e0 la langue anglaise et \u00e0 la politique linguistique.<\/p>\n<p>J\u00fcrg R.
