Sa structure suit une logique qui n\u2019est pas th\u00e9matique ou chronologique, mais spatiale. De ce fait, les essais inclus dans cet ouvrage collectif se concentrent sur les diff\u00e9rents espaces de l\u2019\u00e9difice de culte, et sur la mani\u00e8re dont ceux-ci collaborent \u00e0 la formation de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience visuelle du spectateur m\u00e9di\u00e9val, selon une progression de l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur vers l\u2019int\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cet ouvrage est le fruit d\u2019un travail collectif men\u00e9 en collaboration avec de nombreux partenaires scientifiques ainsi qu\u2019avec des institutions locales charg\u00e9es de la gestion du patrimoine, dans un souci de conjuguer l\u2019\u00e9tude historico-artistique et la valorisation d\u2019un patrimoine fragile. Issu du projet FNS <a href=\"https:\/\/data.snf.ch\/grants\/grant\/192854\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rome aux si\u00e8cles \u00abobscurs\u00bb.
