Dans cette \u00e9dition num\u00e9rique comparative du Crime de Sylvestre Bonnard<\/em>, Gilles Philippe (Section de fran\u00e7ais<\/a>) retrace la gen\u00e8se post-\u00e9ditoriale de l\u2019\u0153uvre d’Anatole France. D\u2019abord paru en revue entre 1879 et 1881, puis en volume chez Calmann-L\u00e9vy en 1881, Le Crime de Sylvestre Bonnard<\/em> a offert \u00e0 son auteur sa premi\u00e8re notori\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Souffrant toutefois de graves d\u00e9fauts de composition narrative et de coh\u00e9rence chronologique, le roman a \u00e9t\u00e9 retravaill\u00e9 une premi\u00e8re fois par Anatole France en vue de l\u2019\u00e9dition de 1903. Cette publication ne donnera toujours pas satisfaction, si bien qu’une nouvelle r\u00e9vision donnera lieu \u00e0 la quatri\u00e8me et ultime \u00e9dition, parue en 1922, soit quelques mois apr\u00e8s que l\u2019\u00e9crivain a re\u00e7u le prix Nobel de litt\u00e9rature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette \u00e9dition num\u00e9rique comparative est disponible sur la plateforme Variance<\/a>, un comparateur de textes dont la direction scientifique est assur\u00e9e par Rudolf Mahrer et Jo\u00ebl Zufferey de la Section de fran\u00e7ais<\/a>. Son objectif est d\u2019offrir un support qui permette de r\u00e9unir toutes les versions d\u2019une m\u00eame \u0153uvre, moderne ou ancienne, et d\u2019assister l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation des transformations, d\u2019une \u00e9dition \u00e0 l\u2019autre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
