C’est l’une des questions dont s’occupe ce num\u00e9ro th\u00e9matique de Transactions of the Philological Society<\/em>, co\u00e9dit\u00e9 par Michele Bianconi et Robin Meyer (Section des sciences du langage et de l\u2019information<\/a>, Centre de linguistique et des sciences du langage<\/a>) et qui r\u00e9unit onze contributions sur la linguistique diachronique, la typologie et l’exploitation des corpus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Issus pour la plupart d\u2019interventions tenues dans le cadre du congr\u00e8s international de la linguistique diachronique organis\u00e9 en 2022, les articles r\u00e9unis dans ce volume couvrent l\u2019ensemble du monde, de la M\u00e9soam\u00e9rique au Caucase, en passant par la Sib\u00e9rie, et un laps de temps qui court de l\u2019Antiquit\u00e9 classique au pr\u00e9sent. Ils soulignent la pertinence de plusieurs approches diff\u00e9rentes de la recherche en contact des langues et typologie, en particulier la consid\u00e9ration comparative des corpus diachroniques, ainsi que l\u2019\u00e9tude des contextes sociohistoriques des langues en contact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
