Du ch\u00e2teau au campus universitaire"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Un livre pour marquer la renaissance d\u2019un lieu d\u2019exception.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>En 2019, l\u2019Universit\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine Pepperdine a rachet\u00e9 le ch\u00e2teau d\u2019Hauteville, situ\u00e9 non loin de Vevey, pour y am\u00e9nager son campus romand, offrant ainsi au domaine un nouveau souffle, en continuit\u00e9 avec l\u2019esprit des lieux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inscrits comme bien culturel suisse d\u2019importance nationale, le ch\u00e2teau et son domaine ont \u00e9t\u00e9 class\u00e9s Monument historique la m\u00eame ann\u00e9e par le Canton de Vaud, une d\u00e9marche qui a permis au nouveau propri\u00e9taire de proc\u00e9der \u00e0 de vastes travaux de restauration. Architectes, artisans, historiens et sp\u00e9cialistes de toutes les disciplines patrimoniales et techniques se sont succ\u00e9d\u00e9 sur ce chantier hors du commun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La fin des travaux co\u00efncide avec la parution d\u2019un imposant ouvrage collectif, dirig\u00e9 par B\u00e9atrice Lovis (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/hist\/home.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/hist\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Section d\u2019histoire<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/shc\/home.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/shc\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Centre des sciences historiques de la culture<\/a>) et Isabelle Roland. Les connaissances sur ce t\u00e9moin remarquable de l\u2019architecture du XVIIIe si\u00e8cle en Suisse sont renouvel\u00e9es gr\u00e2ce aux contributions de 25 auteurs provenant de diff\u00e9rentes disciplines.
