Alors que le r\u00e9chauffement climatique et la crise \u00e9cologique actuelle mettent les hommes modernes face \u00e0 leurs ressources plan\u00e9taires limit\u00e9es et \u00e0 leurs impacts sur la biosph\u00e8re, les r\u00e9cits d’apocalypse et d’effondrement prolif\u00e8rent dans la culture contemporaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dirig\u00e9 par Agnieszka Soltysik Monnet (Section d\u2019anglais<\/a>) et Christian Arnsperger (Institut de g\u00e9ographie et durabilit\u00e9<\/a>), ce num\u00e9ro de la revue Text Matters<\/em> s\u2019int\u00e9resse \u00e0 certaines des questions de temporalit\u00e9 soulev\u00e9es par le d\u00e9fi \u00e9cologique, en particulier les questions th\u00e9oriques de l’apocalypse et du progr\u00e8s, apparemment oppos\u00e9es et pourtant \u00e9troitement et \u00e9trangement interconnect\u00e9es dans notre sens th\u00e9ologique de l’histoire et de la t\u00e9l\u00e9ologie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce volume, disponible en texte int\u00e9gral<\/a>, a pour but d’approfondir les hypoth\u00e8ses, les fantasmes et les craintes concernant la soi-disant modernit\u00e9, de les contester et de les d\u00e9mystifier et de montrer comment, en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la crise \u00e9cologique, une s\u00e9rie d’artistes, d’\u00e9crivains, de philosophes et de sp\u00e9cialistes des sciences sociales ont repens\u00e9 la temporalit\u00e9 de la modernit\u00e9, ses dualismes profond\u00e9ment enracin\u00e9s et le clivage entre l’humain et le non-humain qui se trouve au c\u0153ur m\u00eame de la modernit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
