New Media and Exhibition Culture in Europe and the USA, 1928-1939"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Quand la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision \u00e9tait un nouveau m\u00e9dia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>D\u00e8s le milieu des ann\u00e9es 1920 et le d\u00e9veloppement de prototypes fonctionnels, la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision se fait objet d\u2019exposition. La nouvelle technologie est montr\u00e9e \u00e0 des foires industrielles et dans de grands magasins, \u00e0 des expositions universelles et nationales : expos\u00e9e, la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision devient un m\u00e9dia de masse avant m\u00eame qu\u2019elle ne diffuse des \u00e9missions r\u00e9guli\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En \u00e9tudiant les pr\u00e9sentations publiques de la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision en Allemagne, en Grande-Bretagne et aux \u00c9tats-Unis entre 1928 (date de l\u2019ouverture des premi\u00e8res expositions annuelles dans les trois pays) et 1939 (moment de l\u2019interruption de celles-ci \u00e0 la suite de l\u2019\u00e9clatement de la Seconde Guerre mondiale), cet ouvrage d\u2019Anne-Katrin Weber (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/cin\/home.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/cin\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Section d\u2019histoire et esth\u00e9tique du cin\u00e9ma<\/a>) montre que les lieux o\u00f9 le m\u00e9dium rencontre son premier public constituent les m\u00eames espaces qui, r\u00e9trospectivement, permettent de comprendre son av\u00e8nement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Issu d\u2019une th\u00e8se de doctorat soutenue \u00e0 la Facult\u00e9 des lettres de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne, ce livre est disponible en texte int\u00e9gral sur le site <a href=\"https:\/\/library.oapen.org\/handle\/20.500.12657\/54250\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/library.oapen.org\/handle\/20.500.12657\/54250\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">oapen.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anne-Katrin Weber, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aup.nl\/en\/book\/9789463727815\/television-before-tv\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.aup.nl\/en\/book\/9789463727815\/television-before-tv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Television before TV.
