<\/p>\n

Au Moyen \u00c2ge et au d\u00e9but de l’\u00e9poque moderne, il existait de multiples liens entre diff\u00e9rents champs de connaissances tels que le folklore, la religion et la m\u00e9decine. Cette hybridit\u00e9 du savoir, qui permettait d’envisager le monde \u00e0 travers plusieurs disciplines, para\u00eet aujourd’hui \u00e9trang\u00e8re \u00e0 nos conception rationalistes.<\/p>\n

Le pr\u00e9sent volume analyse ces intersections entre des discours religieux, m\u00e9dicaux et litt\u00e9raires abordant les th\u00e9matiques de la sant\u00e9 et de la maladie. Il d\u00e9montre par exemple comment et pourquoi la navigation maritime et la mesure du temps ont pu \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9es \u00e0 la fois comme des formes d’art et de science.<\/p>\n

Cet ouvrage interdisciplinaire de Rachel Falconer et Denis Renevey (tous deux de la Section d’anglais<\/a>) s’inscrit notamment dans le cadre des recherches men\u00e9es au sein du Centre d’\u00e9tudes m\u00e9di\u00e9vales et post-m\u00e9di\u00e9vales<\/a> de la Facult\u00e9 des lettres.
