{"id":6,"date":"2017-10-11T10:32:19","date_gmt":"2017-10-11T08:32:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/ivif\/?page_id=6"},"modified":"2024-11-25T14:55:58","modified_gmt":"2024-11-25T13:55:58","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/ivif\/home\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The In Vivo Imaging Facility (IVIF), created in 2019, provides state of the art multimodal\u00a0<em>in-vivo<\/em>\u00a0imaging for the visualization of pathological processes in pre-clinical mouse model.<\/p>\n<p>Our activity focuses on the use of non-invasive or minimally invasive imaging modalities from the whole body to the single cell level, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), deep imaging two-photon microscopy,\u00a0<em>in vivo<\/em>\u00a0optical imaging (bioluminescence and fluorescence detection), molecular imaging of radiotracers by micro positron emission tomography (PET) or single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and micro computed tomography (CT). Three irradiation systems that mimic clinical radiotherapy (RT) completes the offer.<\/p>\n<p>The IVIF includes more than15 instruments distributed and incorporated over 250 m<sup>2<\/sup> of animal facility within the <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/ivif\/equipment\/agora\/\">AGORA<\/a> cancer research center at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/ivif\/equipment\/centre-des-laboratoires-depalinges\/\">CLE<\/a> site at the University of Lausanne (UNIL).
