{"id":628,"date":"2024-05-14T15:27:09","date_gmt":"2024-05-14T13:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/iussi-europe-2024\/?page_id=628"},"modified":"2024-06-28T14:42:33","modified_gmt":"2024-06-28T12:42:33","slug":"talks-and-posters-formats","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/iussi-europe-2024\/about\/talks-and-posters-formats\/","title":{"rendered":"Talks and Posters format"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Talk format<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General Instructions<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The congress only supports <strong>PowerPoint and PDF presentations<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All presentations <strong>must be uploaded in the Speakers\u2019 Upload Area at the venue<\/strong>. The<br>Speakers\u2019 Upload Area will be located near Amphitheatre B and will be open every day<br>between 8:00 and 17:00. You will be able to view your presentations and should check<br>that all appears and work as expected before leaving the Speaker\u2019s Upload Area. <strong>Please<br>do not forget to bring a USB stick<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Presentations cannot be uploaded in the session rooms and <strong>speakers cannot use their<br>own computer for their presentation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upload your presentation in the Speaker\u2019s Upload Area <strong>no later than 2 hours before the<br>start of the session you are speaking in<\/strong>. If you are speaking in the morning session,<br>please try to upload your presentation the day before your talk.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please <strong>arrive at your session 5 minutes before the published start time of the first talk<\/strong><br>and announce yourself to the Chairperson.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Presentation timings<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Session speakers are given <strong>14 minutes,<\/strong> including question time: presentations should not exceed <strong>11 minutes and allow for 3 minutes of questions<\/strong> from the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A short sound will play at the end of 11 minutes and then increasingly <strong>loud music will play at the end of the 14 minutes for a minute<\/strong> to indicate that you must finish your last sentence and leave the stage to the next speaker. To ensure that the three sessions are running in parallel, we ask that you respect these timings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Keynote speakers have a double slot<\/strong>. Keynote presentations should not exceed <strong>24 minutes and allow for 5 minutes of questions<\/strong> from the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Poster format<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The recommended format for posters is <strong>A0 portrait<\/strong>. Smaller poster in format will also be<br>accepted. Posters will be presented on vertical panels of <strong>120 cm (width) x 180 cm (height)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The posters <strong>can be put up as soon as you arrive on site and may stay until the last day of the<br>conference<\/strong>.
