We deployed 15 GNSS stations to track ice motion, four ApRES (Autonomous phase-sensitive Radio-Echo Sounding) units to monitor changes in water content within the ice column, and two hydrological observation&hellip;<\/div><\/li>\n<li><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/isp\/the-first-field-campaign-approaches\/\">The first field campaign approaches<\/a><time datetime=\"2025-03-19T15:51:34+01:00\" class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-date\">19 mars 2025<\/time><div class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-excerpt\">In April we will head to south-west Greenland for the first field campaign of our FlowState project. We&rsquo;ve spent the winter building and testing systems including GNSS, radar and hydrological sensors, and getting trained in important safety protocols for work on the ice sheet. They learned more about medical support in polar and remote high-altitude environments like the one we will work in next April.
