Welcome to the world of CRAG, the Cold Regions Applied Geophysics research group from the University of Lausanne. At CRAG, we focus on developing and applying state-of-the-art geophysical techniques to investigate the complex structures and dynamics of cold regions, particularly those in the alpine environment. For the moment, our main area of expertise is in the use of Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR), a non-invasive geophysical technique that allows us to probe the subsurface of the Earth.

On this website you can find all the information concerning the group and its research but please, if you have any questions regarding what we do, don’t hesitate to contact James or anyone from the group’s list, we will be happy to discuss with you!
