Status: Study project (beginning March 2024)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the constant evolution of the research landscape, the University of Lausanne is committed to the development of a new information system, IRIS, aimed at modernizing and optimizing the management of research-related information within the institution. This new system, based on DSpace-CRIS software, offers advanced functionalities for the coherent integration of calls for proposals, research projects and research funding obtained by its researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The adoption of DSpace-CRIS is motivated by its ability to offer a contextual approach to research information management. CRIS (Current Research Information Systems) systems have the significant advantage of linking information on calls for proposals, research projects and funding obtained to other entities present in CRIS, such as people, research units and publications. This contextual capability represents a major advance in research information management, enabling the creation of a complete, interconnected view of the entire research process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, at the University of Lausanne, the management of information relating to calls for projects, research projects and research funds obtained is based on fragmented, decentralized and often heterogeneous processes. The absence of a global system dedicated to this management creates major challenges in terms of consistency, operational efficiency and traceability of research activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By analyzing the functionalities of DSpace-CRIS, consulting stakeholders and proposing adaptations to both the tool and internal processes, the project aims to establish the foundations and define the requirements for an effective institutional information system, promoting transparent, collaborative and strategic management of research activities at the University of Lausanne.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
