In order to\u00a0to show and discuss<\/strong>\u00a0a phenomenon, a\u00a0transcription<\/strong>\u00a0with line numbers and speakers identification can be useful. IMPACT makes transcription easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

User can d\u2019import<\/strong>\u00a0an already-available transcription or d\u2019export<\/strong>\u00a0the transcription in a formatted Word document.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Example 1: students are trained to\u00a0transcribe a media<\/strong>\u00a0that they recorded or that the teacher uploaded.

Example 2: students work on\u00a0an existing corpus<\/strong>\u00a0(media + transcriptions).

Example 3: researchers work collaboratively on the transcription of a\u00a0shared database<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

There are three columns in the transcription space:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. the white column is for automatic lines numbering<\/strong>. It can be disabled.<\/li>
  2. the light gray column is for the identification of speakers<\/strong> (three symbols max). For example, \u00ab A \u00bb, \u00ab B \u00bb \u00ab C \u00bb\u2026 or \u00ab JER \u00bb, \u00ab CYR \u00bb, \u00ab JUL \u00bb\u2026<\/li>
  3. the dark gray column is for the speech<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
