Ethics and Politics of Digital Mediations&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On April 16 and 17, 2026, the University of Lausanne is hosting an international conference on the ethical and political challenges of artificial intelligence in the public sphere. Organized by Thomas Bern (ULB) and Olivier Voirol (UNIL), the event brings together researchers, philosophers, and academics from several European universities to examine the growing influence of AI on our democratic societies.<\/p>\n\n<p>In the face of the accelerated deployment of algorithms across all sectors of social life, the speakers will explore the risks of colonizing public debate, the rhetorics of innovation that sideline citizen deliberation, as well as possible forms of resistance.
