Coming from bioinformatics research and confronted early on with the challenges of big data, he advocates for an AI conceived as a tool serving science, teaching, and society, rather than an end in itself. Launched at the end of 2024, UNIL\u2019s AI strategy is built around an original executive structure tasked with coordinating initiatives, training the entire university community, defining clear guidelines, and regulating AI use, particularly in teaching and research.
