This article proposes a clear framework, tailored to UNIL, based on <strong>four fundamental principles<\/strong> and <strong>six key recommendations<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fundamental principles of scientific integrity<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Reliability <\/strong>: ensure quality, traceability and reproductibility of works.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Honnesty<\/strong> : to carry out, analyze and report activities with transparency and impartiality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Respect<\/strong> : to incorporate people, society, ecosystems and cultural heritage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Responsability<\/strong> : take charge of the entire process, from to idea to the dissemination of results and their impacts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>These principles are sourced from <em>Code of Scientific Integrity of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences<\/em> (2021) and form the foundation of research and teaching activities at the university.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recommendations for a responsible use of generative AI<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Human responsability<\/strong>: the user remains solely responsible for the content produced; AI is neither the author nor co-author.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Transparency<\/strong> : mention the tool used (including name, version, and date), and describe its role when it has a significant impact on the work. Whenever feasible, share the prompts and outputs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data and intellectual property protection<\/strong> : Users must refrain from uploading any sensitive or protected data unless explicit guarantees are provided.
