After some months of planning, UNIL finally has a meteorologic station (including soil sensors) on campus. Real-time data visualizations will be made publicly available in 2026. This is a first step towards making our campus an environmental observatory for teaching, research and scientific outreach.
Many thanks to UNIBAT, to the institute of Earth Surface Dynamics, to the Faculty of Geoscience and the Environment, to the volunteers that helped install the station, and to our field technician Floreana Miesen.
