In Switzerland and many parts of the world, the “Hydrologic year” starts on October 1. We used such a day as a good excuse to organize a small symposium open to people with an interest in Hydrology. We had a Keynote lecture by Bettina Schaefli, University of Bern, and then 15 short presentations by PIs, Ph.D. students, postdocs and technicians in our institute. It’s been a great chance to learn what people do, which data and methods they use. Given the success of the event, we will likely propose some celebrations in the next years as well.
