Depending on the type of legend, it can focus on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"justified bullet-indent\">What processes created the landforms (\u00ab\u00a0morphogenetic maps\u00a0\u00bb). Here, landforms are classified according to the process that shaped them, e.g. glacial, periglacial, fluvial, or karstic landforms;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"justified bullet-indent\">Current morphological dynamics (\u00ab\u00a0morphodynamic maps\u00a0\u00bb). Here, landforms are classified according to their current activity (i.e., whether they are active or relict).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"justified\">Since the 1980&rsquo;s, several mapping projects have been carried out at the University of Lausanne:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"justified bullet-indent\">Development of a morphogenetic legend aiming to provide a standardised symbology (see below).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"justified bullet-indent\">Development of a morphodynamic legend aiming to quantify the activity of processes involved in torrential dynamics (cf. Theler et al., 2010);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"justified bullet-indent\">Proposition of a method for geotouristic mapping (cf. Ghram Messedi et al., 2021);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"justified bullet-indent\">Thematic mapping, such as geomorphosite mapping (eg. Bussard et al., 2022) or rock glacier inventories (Duvanel et al., in prep);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"justified bullet-indent\">Comprehensive mapping of mountain catchments (eg.
