Bio
Olivier Gallay is Full Professor at the Department of Operations at HEC Lausanne, University of Lausanne.
He holds a Master in Communication Systems from the Swiss Institute of Technology at Lausanne (EPFL) and a Ph.D. ès Science, with a particular focus on Manufacturing Systems and Robotics, from the Swiss Institute of Technology at Lausanne (EPFL). He has been working for 4 years in the Business Optimization Group at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory, where he was involved in various projects in the fields of transportation, supply chain management, and price optimization.
His research focuses on operations research and on the optimization of complex systems, with a special emphasis on transportation, sustainable logistics, and supply chain management. In particular, he works with various academical and industrial partners on the development of new optimization algorithms for the operational management of multi-modal transportation networks.
