Female Career Award

The Female Career Award is an award distributed twice a year since 2018 to women researchers outside of HEC Lausanne with an outstanding academic career. Its purpose is to enhance and promote female academic careers.

The event consists of an awards ceremony followed by a seminar open to all and presented by the award winner. Moreover, a round table open to doctoral and post-doctoral students as well as Master’s students is organized. It allows participants to ask questions to the award winner about having an academic career as a woman.

2022

The award winners in 2022 is :

  • Candace Arai Yano (University of California, Berkeley) : «Store Brand Positioning and Pricing in the Presence of Retail Competition».

 2019

The award winners in 2019 are :

  • Mary Barth (Stanford University, Graduate School of Business) : ‘The future of financial reporting : insights from research’.
  • Renée Adams (University of Oxford, Saïd Business School) : ‘Is gender in the eye of the beholder ? Identifying cultural attitudes with art auction prices’.

2018

The award winners in 2018 are :

  • Michelle Hebl (Rice University) : ‘Gender and race gatekeeping’.
  • Franziska Völckner (University of Cologne) : ‘Brand positioning based on brand image-country image fit’.
