The previous SNSF Doc.Mobility instrument did not continue after 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mobility funding Mobi.Doc<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

UNIL PhD students who are not employed in an SNSF<\/strong> project will be able to apply for this 6-month mobility grants at UNIL.Two types of funding, which cannot be accumulated, will be possible and will be calculated on the basis of a 6 month <\/strong>stay :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1.  the mobility fellowship<\/strong>: is aimed at doctoral students without an employment contract with UNIL or who will interrupt their contract as an assistant during their stay abroad. It must substantially cover the personal maintenance of the beneficiary and his\/her family. A stay longer than 6 months will be possible with the agreement of the dean\u2019s office of the faculty of attachment, but without additional financing. In most faculties, the duration corresponding to the interruption of the contract can be recovered at the end of the thesis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. the mobility grant<\/strong>: of a much smaller amount than the fellowship and calculated on a per diem basis, will contribute to the living expenses of doctoral students who decide, in agreement with their faculty dean, not to interrupt their employment contract with UNIL and thus continue to receive their salary during their absence.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Two \u201cMobi.Doc\u201d calls are planned each year (1 March and 1 September). Funding start date is earliest 4 months after the submission<\/strong> deadline. Applications must be submitted via the Optimy platform: https:\/\/mobidoc-submission.unil.ch\/en\/<\/a>.     Other mobility options<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Do not forget that UNIL PhD students can also get administrative and financial support to spend time in another institution through both Swiss-European Mobility Programme<\/strong> (SEMP) (previously Erasmus) and bilateral agreements<\/strong> (see dedicated UNIL website<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    PhD students employed in an ongoing SNSF research project<\/strong> can apply to Mobility in project grants<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n
