SAV grants

The Société Académique Vaudoise (SAV) has modified, as of 2023, its policy regarding the awarding of research grants to support young researchers at the University of Lausanne (UNIL).

Two types of grants will be offered in the future

• doctoral fellowships

intended for UNIL doctoral candidates, preferably holders of a master’s degree from UNIL, who do not have an assistant’s position (UNIL, FNS, or other), to finance a research stay, in principle abroad, during the preparation of the thesis or for its finalization.

Amount: up to a maximum of CHF 20’000

• post-doctoral fellowships

intended for young researchers with a PhD (PhD-MD-PhD), preferably from UNIL.

These grants are intended to finance a scientific stay of at least six months in a foreign academic institution.

Amount: up to a maximum of CHF 40,000
