She nevertheless remains an important part of of the GenFam team and its intellectual foundation, having played a central role in the conceptual design of the overall project and, in particular, of the fertility work package.  Katja Rost was a professor of sociology and private lecturer in economics at the University of Zurich. Her research focused on economic and organizational sociology (digital historical sociology, gender in affluent societies, elite sociology, sociology of digitalization and innovation). She was the director of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.suz.uzh.ch\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Department of Sociology SUZ,<\/a>\u00a0vice president of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unilu.ch\/universitaet\/organe\/universitaetsrat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University Council of the University of Lucerne<\/a>, co-director of the\u00a0<em>University Research Priority Programs (URPP<\/em>)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.humanreproduction.uzh.ch\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cHuman Reproduction Reloaded,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0deputy chair of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.chess.uzh.ch\/de.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cCenter for Higher Education and Science Studies,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and a member of the\u00a0<em>University Research Priority Programs (URPP<\/em>)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uzh.ch\/de\/researchinnovation\/priorities\/university\/UFSP-digitalreligions.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cDigital Religions&#8221;.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Within GenFam Katja Rost worked on fertility behaviour and reproductive decision-making.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Unfortunately, Professor Katja Rost passed away at the beginning of the project.
