Katja Rost is a professor of sociology and private lecturer in economics at the University of Zurich. Her research focuses on economic and organizational sociology (digital historical sociology, gender in affluent societies, elite sociology, sociology of digitalization and innovation). She is the director of the Department of Sociology SUZ, vice president of the University Council of the University of Lucerne, co-director of the University Research Priority Programs (URPP) “Human Reproduction Reloaded,” deputy chair of the “Center for Higher Education and Science Studies,” and a member of the University Research Priority Programs (URPP) “Digital Religions”.
Within GenFam Katja Rost works on fertility behaviour and reproductive decision-making.
