I am a sociologist specializing in the intersection of work, occupations, and gender, with a strong focus on qualitative research methods, particularly ethnography.
My research examines the transformation of work, work–family arrangements, and the relationships between different life spheres, with particular attention to the inequalities that emerge from these dynamics. In addition to my work within GenFam, I am currently conducting research on menopause and aging in the workplace, looking at the complex interactions between gender and age discrimination.
I hold a professorship in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and New Work at the Bern University of Applied Sciences – Business School (BFH).
Within GenFam Isabelle Zinn works on policy context and institutional responses.
