Irene Kriesi is head of the research field on institutional conditions of VET and co-head of the research area on strategic planning of the VET system at the Swiss Federal University for Vocational Education and Training SFUVET. She holds a doctorate in sociology from the University of Zurich. Her research interests include educational trajectories, school‐to‐work transitions, occupational careers, and social inequality, with a specific focus on gender inequalities and vocational education and training.
