{"id":86,"date":"2013-06-19T12:28:23","date_gmt":"2013-06-19T10:28:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/geldnerlab\/?page_id=86"},"modified":"2022-03-23T15:29:59","modified_gmt":"2022-03-23T14:29:59","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.unil.ch\/geldnerlab\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Our lab started in 2007 when Niko Geldner joined the Department of Plant Molecular Biology at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/index.html\">University of Lausanne<\/a> as an Assistant Professor. Currently, our group works on two major lines of research. The first is investigating the root endodermis; its differentiation and function. The second, more recent line of research, is concerned with the specificities of root immune responses and the molecular basis of root-bacteria interactions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Our laboratory is located in the Biophore building at the beautiful Dorigny campus on the shores of lake Geneva (lac L\u00e9man). The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/dbmv\/en\/home.html\">Department of Plant Molecular Biology (DBMV)<\/a> is the biggest center in Switzerland exclusively dedicated to molecular research in plant biology. The Department is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/fbm\/home.html\">Faculty of Biology and Medicine<\/a> that is spread over different locations in Lausanne.
