My PhD focuses in the study of the subglacial drainage system, where the main objective is to develop a framework to infer the hydraulic properties of the subglacial channels and distributed system by the assimilation of indirect observational data. For this, I rely on geostatistical tools, inverse methods and hydrogeological modelling techniques.<\/p>\n<h2>Biography<\/h2>\n<p>After completing my bachelor in Geology at the University of Chile, I become interested in hydrogeology. This led me to pursue the Master in Groundwater Studies at The University of New South Wales.&nbsp; After that, I applied the gained knowledge working in different hydrogeological\/environmental consulting companies in Chile, where I realize that little attention was given to the cryosphere. This motivated me to get back into research through a snow hydrology oriented internship at the University of Quebec.
