Son exp\u00e9rience de plus de dix ans au Rwanda dans le domaine associatif et aupr\u00e8s d\u2019ONG internationales se poursuit aujourd\u2019hui par ses int\u00e9r\u00eats de recherche qui portent sur les personnes vuln\u00e9rables, en particulier les enfants et les femmes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Cette th\u00e8se examine l\u2019exp\u00e9rience scolaire des enfants rwandais.e.s afin de comprendre le sens qu\u2019ils.elles donnent \u00e0 leur scolarit\u00e9, leurs rapports aux savoirs et \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9cole et leur mani\u00e8re de s&rsquo;y adapter ou de s&rsquo;y opposer. Elle montre ce qui favorise et ce qui entrave leur mobilisation scolaire en insistant sur l\u2019importance du climat scolaire et de l&rsquo;environnement familial et social de chaque \u00e9l\u00e8ve, notamment les enfants des \u00ab\u00a0femmes cheffes de m\u00e9nage\u00a0\u00bb. Ces deux aspects conditionnent son acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la culture scolaire ainsi que son appropriation.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019approche adopt\u00e9e, <em>la sociologie de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience<\/em>, rejoint les perspectives transformatrices et participatives qui consid\u00e8rent les jeunes comme des sujets r\u00e9flexifs. Pour cela, cette th\u00e8se a adopt\u00e9 une m\u00e9thodologie mixte et s\u2019est int\u00e9ress\u00e9e aux \u00e9l\u00e8ves de 12 \u00e0 14 ans en 6<sup>e<\/sup> primaire dans les \u00e9coles publiques de Kigali, entre 2015 et 2018. Les r\u00e9sultats de cette \u00e9tude in\u00e9dite montrent que les caract\u00e9ristiques particuli\u00e8res du contexte post-g\u00e9nocide, le climat scolaire (conditions mat\u00e9rielles de scolarit\u00e9, relations avec les pairs et les enseignant.e.s), les conditions socio-\u00e9conomiques familiales et les milieux communautaires influencent les rapports \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole et aux savoirs.<\/p>\n<p>Les fa\u00e7ons dont s\u2019articulent ces facteurs permettent de d\u00e9gager des profils d\u2019exp\u00e9rience scolaire sp\u00e9cifiques sur lesquels se fondent les rapports \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole et la construction des sujets.
